Add your first product or service to ZentBill's inventory system.

Adding a Product
Products are the items you sell. Here's how to add your first one:
- 1Go to Inventory > Products from the sidebar
- 2Click the 'Add Product' button
- 3Enter the product name and optional SKU
- 4Set the selling price and purchase price
- 5Choose the applicable tax rate for your company; Indian GST rates include 0%, 5%, 12%, 18%, and 28%
- 6Set the opening stock quantity if you have existing inventory
- 7Select or create a unit of measurement (e.g., Pcs, Kg, Box)
- 8Click 'Save' to create the product
Tip:You can also import products in bulk using the Data Import feature under Settings.
Products vs Services
ZentBill distinguishes between products (physical items with stock) and services (non-stock items like consulting or delivery charges). Products track inventory quantities while services do not. Choose the right type when creating items.
