POS Overview
The POS module is designed for fast, over-the-counter sales. It features a touch-friendly interface with product search, barcode scanning support, and quick payment processing. The POS is ideal for retail shops where speed of billing is critical.
Making a POS Sale
To create a quick sale:
- 1Go to POS from the sidebar (or press the POS shortcut)
- 2Search for products by name, SKU, or scan a barcode
- 3Click on a product to add it to the cart
- 4Adjust quantities using the +/- buttons
- 5Select the customer (optional for walk-in sales)
- 6Choose the payment method (Cash, UPI, Card, etc.)
- 7Click 'Complete Sale' to generate the invoice
Tip:Use keyboard shortcuts for faster billing. Press '/' to focus the search bar, and Enter to add the first search result.
POS Features
The POS module includes: discount application (per-item or on total), multiple payment methods in one transaction, customer selection for credit sales, hold and resume bills, and instant PDF receipt generation.
