Import products, customers, and opening balances from CSV files.

Importing Data

ZentBill supports bulk data import via CSV files. This is useful when migrating from another system or setting up your account with existing data:

  1. 1Go to Settings > Import Data from the sidebar
  2. 2Select the data type to import (Products, Services, Customers, etc.)
  3. 3Download the sample CSV template
  4. 4Fill in your data following the template format
  5. 5Upload the completed CSV file
  6. 6Map the CSV columns to ZentBill fields
  7. 7Review the preview and fix any errors
  8. 8Click 'Import' to process the data
Tip:Start with a small batch (10-20 records) to verify the import works correctly before uploading your full dataset.

Supported Import Types

You can import the following data types: Products (with opening stock), Services, Customers/Suppliers, Chart of Accounts, and Opening Balances. Each type has its own CSV template with the required and optional fields.

Warning:Importing data is additive — it creates new records. It won't update existing records with matching names or codes. Remove duplicates from your CSV before importing.
